Taos style frame
This is my interpretation of a Taos style frame. It incorporates hand-carved Native American and south-western designs. Traditionally gold or Roman gilded, I decided to create this frame in 14K white gold toned to the torso of the seated figure in Jared Penner’s watercolour on paper. Something in the cowboy hat and checked shirt led me to the south-western flavour of this frame.
